Chef Alexei's Cranberry Sauce
Flavoured with orange juice and orange zest, with the warmth of nutmeg and cinnamon. Chef Alexei's Cranberry Sauce is a cinch to make!
Large navel orange
juice and zest
Salt and pepper
In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, orange juice and zest.
Bring to a boil and reduce to simmer, stirring often so that the bottom doesn't stick.
Continue to simmer for 10-15 minutes until cranberries break down and sauce begins to thicken.
Season to taste with salt and pepper, adding a little more sugar if you prefer a sweeter sauce.
Remove from heat and store in a heatproof container.
