With the pandemic still going on, Halloween parties will look different this year again. With this project, you can do the whole board, make mini ones, or steal an idea or two for Afternoon Snack or to work into your kid’s lunch. Today I’m sharing everything you’ll need to copy this exact board and a few general tips for building treat boards all year round! As always, please ask any questions in the comment section below.

Tips For Building Your Board:

These are all optional, of course, but a few ideas that may spark some creativity.

  • Pick a colour scheme. Decide on a few colours you want to use and then research and shop for candy and treats in those colours.
  • Hit up The Dollar Store! They often carry mini wooden themed boards for whatever holiday is happening.
  • Use cookie cutters, mini plates, or mini bowls in the theme of your board to hold smaller run away candy. It also adds nice texture and dimension.
  • Play around. This is your work of art and there are no rules! I like to spend some time moving things around to see the board come to life.
