As soon as I saw this I’m a Hoot sweatshirt, I knew it was perfect for our silly guy! It comes from one of my favourite Canadian small shops – Prairie Wilds – an organic and sustainable kids’ clothing line started by Edmonton-based mama Erin Ruta (read her ‘why’ here).

Eco-Friendly Designs

Prairie Wilds focuses on minimalist, unisex designs, and is GOTS certified. GOTS is the Global Organic Textile Standard, a worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibers, including ecological and social criteria. It’s backed by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain.

This Canadian company also opts against pre-shrinking fabric, meaning less water is used to make the clothes you’re buying. We’re talking feel-good, do-good clothing here, my friends! The pieces are so well-made, they feel great, and I like knowing each one is designed, cut, and sewn right here in Canada.
