Spiked Chai Eggnog

Make this Spiked Chai Eggnog with vegan or regular ‘nog. It’s the perfect drink for sipping this Christmas Eve!

Spiked Chai Eggnog-1The warmth of this Christmas cocktail will be a nice addition to your cozy cuddles by the fire! There’s a bit of prep beforehand, but once it’s prepped and chillin’ in the fridge, you’ve got your cocktails covered for the entire night without having to do any additional work!

After you’ve finished the mix, pop it into the fridge to chill for at least a few hours. It’s easiest to mix this using a screwtop jar instead of a pitcher because you need to be able to shake it up once it’s cool, just before you pour. I recently found these amazing screwtop Kilner jars at Freson Bros. See them up close here.

Spiked Chai Eggnog-2

You’ll Need:

  • 8 ounces Wild Turkey bourbon (you can also use rum, but I think the bourbon tastes better!)
  • Two chai teabags ( make two cups)
  • Three cups of eggnog
  • Three droppers of Token’s Bitters ‘Calder Chai Aromatic Bitters’
  • One tbsp cinnamon
  • One tbsp nutmeg
  • One anise star garnish
  • Small dollop of whipped cream (optional)

Spiked Chai Eggnog-3Directions:

  • Steep your tea with four droppers of Token Calder Chai Bitters, and let it cool.
  • Pour your cooled tea into a big pitcher or screw-top jar, along with three cups of eggnog, 1/2 TBSP of nutmeg, 1/2 TBSP of cinnamon, and eight shots of Wild Turkey.
  • Give it a good shake and pop in the fridge to chill.
  • When you’re ready to serve, shake again for about 10-15 seconds and pour into your coupe glasses. Stir with your bar spoon.
  • Garnish with the rest of your nutmeg, cinnamon, and your star anise. You could also add a small dollop of whipped cream.

Spiked Chai Eggnog-4Spiked Chai Eggnog-5A Few Other Notes

  • Skip the ice! Ice will only dilute this down, and drastically change the taste.
  • Make this the day before, so it’s all set to go for when the moment hits. The more chilling time, the better!

First time going to Disney? We got so much great a First time going to Disney? We got so much great advice and awesome tips for how to maximize our first time at the park as a family.

➡️ The number one thing I want to pass along is to allow breathing room in your days there. Don't overplan it. Try not to be SO scheduled that you miss the magic. ✨️

Of course you want to have a general plan of the rides you want to hit, your strategy for tackling the pack, etc. but leave space so when suddenly Goofy is walking down the street and your kiddo wants a photo - you have time.

➡️ Book your hotel and park passes ahead of time for sure. Reserve a character dinner too (we booked ours the day before and got the last spot).

There are a lot of to-the-minute schedules you'll find out there for how to hit every ride and try all the food in record time but for a family with young kids, I don't recommend it. Just go with the flow and have fun! 🤗

➡️ Make sure to head a few reels back and see how we surprised our seven-year-old with the trip! Ask any questions below. ❤️ Like and save this post if it was helpful for you.
