Canada 150: There’s no shortage of events to celebrate Canada 150 in Edmonton. We’ll be in the backyard hosting a party and road hockey tournament (watch my IG Story for more) but here’s a few things you can check out around the city.
- Celebration at City Hall from 11-6. All the details.
- Event at the Alberta Legislature from 7 am-9 pm. All the details.
- Heritage Chinatown Nighttime Market (96 Street between 102 and 103 Ave) from 4-9. More details.
- Muttart Conservatory celebration with music, entertainment, and a feature pyramid. Goes from 10-3. More details.
Fireworks Viewing Locations: Edmonton does an amazing job of the fireworks show on Canada Day and I’m sure this year will be even better. Here’s the best spots to watch:
- Remax Field
- Alberta Legislature Grounds
- Victoria Park
- Government House Park (Groat & River Valley Road)
- Ezio Faraone Park
- 109th Street at Saskatchewan Drive (on foot only)
- River Valley Road (on foot only)
- Walterdale Hill and Queen Elizabeth Park Road (on foot only)
